On December 10, Inner Mongolia Tongwei Green Substrate Co., Ltd. commenced phase one production at its silicon metal project in Damao Banner, Baotou.
The project has a total production capacity of 360,000tpa of silicon metal, including 120,000tpa for the first phase, which broke ground in September 2023.
