First alumina project in Nanning passes energy conservation review

The green new materials production base project developed by Guangxi Long'an Hetai New Materials Co., Ltd. has passed energy conservation review by the local authority. It is the first alumina project to be built in Nanning, with a planned annual production capacity of 1.2 million tonnes of alumina, which is expected to meet raw material demand from aluminum ingot producers in the city.
With a total investment of RMB6.2 billion (USD853 million), the project will build a 1.2Mtpa alumina production line, along with a production line with capacity of 300,000tpa of deep-processed aluminum products, including high-purity aluminum, aluminum foil for electronics, and automotive composite material, as well as a 4GW silicon-based PV module production line.
