Fushun Special Steel commissions 80ktpa steel bar production line

Fushun Special Steel Co., Ltd. has started trial production at its 80,000tpa high-alloy thin-diameter steel bar project, a complex production line capable of producing round steel, square steel, flat steel and steel wire and rod mainly used in high-end fields such as nuclear power engineering, medical equipment, and aerospace.
With a total investment of more than RMB400 million (USD55.13 million), the production line broke ground in June 2022, and when fully operational, it will be able to produce over 100 types of steel product with high demand, taking the company's production capacity of high-alloy thin-diameter steel bar and wire rod to 80,000tpa from less than 20,000tpa, while reducing production cost per tonne of steel by more than RMB2,000 (USD276). The production line is expected to achieve annual production value of RMB1.1 billion (USD152 million).
