Hengfeng Nature to build 750tpa tantalum and niobium metals project

Hengfeng Nature Tantalum Niobium New Materials Co., Ltd. has received initial EIA approval from the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangxi Province to build a 750tpa tantalum and niobium metals project in Hengfeng, Jiangxi.
According to the EIA, the project will be located at Hengfeng Economic Development Zone, with a planned land area of 61,620 sq.m. When completed, the project will be able to produce 750t (metal equivalent) of tantalum and niobium products annually, including 50tpa of high-purity tantalum pentoxide, 90tpa of high-purity niobium pentoxide, 50tpa of carbide (20tpa of tantalum carbide, 10tpa of niobium carbide, 20tpa of tantalum-niobium carbide), 555tpa of tantalum and niobium metals (360tpa of tantalum powder, 5tpa of tantalum bar, 5tpa of tantalum sheet, 15tpa of tantalum wire, 50tpa of tantalum ingot, 10tpa of niobium powder and 110tpa of niobium ingot), and 5tpa of lithium tantalate.
