Weiwang starts trial production at 60ktpa secondary aluminum project

On October 15, Inner Mongolia Weiwang Aluminum Products Processing Co., Ltd. completed cold commissioning for its 60,000tpa second aluminum alloy ingot project, which has entered the trial production phase.
With a total investment of RMB100 million (USD14.06 million), the project broke ground in August 2020, and when fully operational, it is expected to process 70,000 tonnes of recycled aluminum annually to produce 60,000 tonnes per annum of secondary aluminum ingot, the sales revenue of which could reach RMB1.2 billion (USD169 million), for a total profit of RMB40 million (USD5.62 million), helping create over 50 local jobs.
