CISA: Major steel mills' daily steel product output up 2.16% in mid-Aug

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 18.79 million tonnes of finished steel products during the second ten-day period of August, when the daily output was 1,878,800 tonnes, up by 2.16% from early August, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of around 16.45 million tonnes, an increase of 553,400 tonnes or 3.48% from early August.
