Sunstone reports higher H1 prebaked anode output and sales

Sunstone Development Co., Ltd. produced about 1.57 million tonnes and sold 1.54 million tonnes of prebaked anode in the first half of 2024, up by 7.75% and 8.31% respectively from the same period of last year, according to the company's semi-annual report.
Sunstone currently has prebaked anode production capacity of 3.16 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) and expects its total capacity to expand to 3.46Mtpa by the end of this year.
During the first half, the company exported 393,700 tonnes of prebaked anode, up by 33.55% year on year and accounting for 38.77% of China's total export of the material, with its overseas market share further expanded.
