China's production of ten nonferrous metals was 6.61 million tonnes in May 2024, up by 7.4% year on year, and the production in the first five months increased by 6.9% from the prior year period to 32.42 million tonnes, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to May, China produced 17.89 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 7.1% from the year ago period, including 3.65 million tonnes in May, up by 7.2% YoY.
