CMOC Q1 copper and cobalt production hits historic high

CMOC's TFM mine in DRC had three production lines reaching full capacity in March 2024. So far, TFM mine has five production lines in total, with capacities rising to 450,000tpa of copper and 37,000tpa of cobalt, which makes it one of the top ten copper mines and the second biggest cobalt mine in the world.

The company's KFM mine is the world's largest cobalt mine, with production capacities above 90,000tpa of copper and 30,000tpa of cobalt. This year to date, KFM has maintained high operating rate, with monthly copper output exceeding 14,000t for three months in a row.
