BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Apr 24 - One of major crude indium 99%min producers in Yunnan, Chengfeng Nonferrous Metal Co
The producer said, "We resume crude indium 99%min production since early this month and estimate to produce around 2t this month". They would halt the production in May and resume again later this year given the limited raw material inventory.
The producer, having a production capacity of 30tpy of crude indium 99%min, holds around 14t of inventory now, up by 2t MoM. They halted the production since late 2023 due to limited raw material inventory . They produced less than 5t totally in 2023 and estimate to produce the same volume in 2024.
The current mainstream prices of Chinese crude indium 99%min move up to RMB2,300-2,350/kg (USD317-324/kg) EXW D/P, up by RMB30/kg (USD4.14/kg) from early last week . Market participants forecast that the mainstream prices of Chinese crude indium 99%min would go strong in the upcoming days as producers generally stay in no hurry to sell.
