Xiaoyi Yanfeng to resume calcined bauxite production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Apr 24 - As a major calcined bauxite producer in Shanxi, Xiaoyi Yanfeng Refractory Materials Co., Ltd. predict to resume their calcined bauxite production since May 1st, expecting to produce about 3,000t next month.
"We suspended our production in late March for kiln maintenance and plan to resume production since May 1st as the work completed", an insider in the company revealed. They added that they expect to produce about 3,000tpm since May 1st.
Having an annual production capacity of 100,000t, they produced about 50,000t in 2023, and only produced about 8,000t so far this year. They hold about 400t in stock right now.
The current mainstream prices for calcined bauxite 85%min 1-3mm Fe2O3 2%max K2O+Na2O 0.45%max B.D. 3.1min hover at RMB2,450-2,550/t (USD356-371/t) EXW D/P in Shanxi, without much changes from early this week. In light of the tight supply for bauxite, insiders believe that the mainstream prices of Chinese calcined bauxite would keep steady in the coming week.
