Chinese antimony ingot prices keep increasing

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Apr 24 - As supply keep tight, most suppliers of antimony ingot keep rasing their prices this week. Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min increase to RMB102,000-103,000/t (USD14,076-14,214/t) EXW D/P, up by RMB1,000/t (USD138/t) from late last week. Considering that most suppliers prefer to keep their prices firm due to tight supply, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would increase further in the coming week.
A producer indicated that they don't offer for antimony ingot 99.85%min actively now and for firm bids they don't accept to sell at prices below RMB102,000/t (USD14,076/t) EXW D/P now. The producer added, "We don't sell recently as we have no stocks to sell now. We received one inquiry from one client who want to purchase at RMB102,000/t(USD14,076/t), while we didn't sell". The producer added that they last sold about 32t at RMB100,000/t (USD13,888/t) one week ago. Considering that supply keep tight, the producer predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would increase further in the coming week.
On basis of an annual production capacity of 5,000t of antimony ingot 99.85%min, the producer produced about 4,000t in 2023. They have no output in April, unchanged from last month. They hold about no stock at the moment, the same with last month.
Another producer disclosed, "We don't offer for antimony ingot 99.85%min now and we didn't sell any materials at prices above RMB103,000/t (USD14,214/t) and last sold about 30t at RMB102,000/t (USD14,076/t) last week". The produce added that most suppliers offer above RMB105,000/t (USD14,490/t) since late last week and few clients want to purchase more materials at prices above RMB105,000/t (USD14,490/t) now but few suppliers want to sell at lower prices. Considering that supply of antimony ingot 99.65%min keep tight, the producer predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would go up further in the forthcoming week.
