Yulin's Q1 magnesium metal production reaches 159kt

China's Yulin achieved a 7.9% year-on-year rise in the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size during the first quarter of 2024, according to the local statistics bureau.
From January to March, Yulin produced about 140.21 million tonnes of raw coal, 154,500 tonnes of primary aluminum, 159,000 tonnes of magnesium metal, 4,358.5 tonnes of polysilicon, 260,300 tonnes of ferroalloys, 8.37 million tonnes of semi-coke, 702,600 tonnes coal tar, 289,400 tonnes of caustic soda and 593,400 tonnes of calcium carbide, all showing positive growth from the prior year period.
