BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Apr 24 – Most buyers purchased actively this week, and most sellers increased prices of recycled deep cycle battery due to tight supply. The current mainstream prices of recycled deep cycle battery stand at RMB9,600-9,750/t (USD1,324-1,345/t) Ex-vat delivered D/P, up by about RMB50/t (USD6.9/t) from yesterday
A consumer in Shandong notes that they purchase about 600t of recycled deep cycle battery at RMB9,740/t (USD1,343/t) Ex-vat delivered D/P today, while they purchased about 500t at RMB9,700/t (USD1,338/t) yesterday. "The supply of recycled deep cycle battery keeps tight now . We could buy nothing without raising purchase prices", said the consumer, who anticipates that the mainstream prices of Chinese recycled deep cycle battery would edge up further in the coming week.
Based on an annual consumption capacity of 300,000t of recycled battery, the consumer would consume about 18,000t in April, identical to last month. They consumed about 70,000t till now in 2024 and nearly 160,000t in 2023 in total . They hold no stocks at the moment.
