Yicheng Feixiang Cast Pipe to restart iron production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Apr 24 - Yicheng Feixiang Cast Pipe Co. (Yicheng Feixiang Cast Pipe), a major iron producer in Shanxi, would resume the production on April 20th with a daily output of about 900t, said a source of the company.
"We plan to restart the production on April 20th after the suspension last August," explained the source, adding that they might produce about 9,000t this month. Besides, they have zero stock in hand at present, down by around 5,000t MoM.
Based on the annual production capacity of about 350,000t of iron, the company recorded an output of around 180,000t in 2023 and did not produce any materials so far this year.
The current mainstream prices of S.G. cast iron Q10 hover at RMB3,200-3,250/t (USD442-449/t) Inc-VAT EXW D/P in Linfen, up by RMB50/t (USD7/t) compared with those of last week. Insiders predict that Chinese S.G. cast iron prices would rise further in the coming week because of increased raw material prices.
