BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Apr 24 - One of major Chinese crude indium 99%min producers, Xuanwei Rongcheng Waste Comprehensive Utilization Co., Ltd. reduced crude indium 99%min production since March due to raw material problems, a source from the company disclosed.
The source said, "We decreased crude indium 99%min output since last month due to raw material problems and estimate to resume the normal production in May". They produced about 3t in March and expected the same output in April.
The producer, based on a production capacity of 60tpy of crude indium 99%min, holds no stock now, unchanged MoM. They produced almost 33t in 2023 and about 8.5t so far in 2024.
Currently, the current mainstream prices of Chinese crude indium 99%min climbed to RMB1,940-1,990/kg (USD267-274/kg) EXW D/P, up by RMB20/kg (USD2.76/kg) from one week ago. Insiders forecasted that the mainstream prices of Chinese crude indium 99%min would remain steady in the upcoming days given that most producers had no intention to lower prices supported by limited stocks.
