BEIJING (Asian Metal) 15 Apr 24 - Most Chinese selenium powder 99.5%min suppliers hold their prices stable over the past week given the steady raw material prices and the downstream purchased from hand to mouth. Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese selenium powder 99.5%min remain at RMB180-185/kg (USD11.28-11.60/lb) delivered D/P, in line with one week ago. Insiders predict that the prevailing prices of Chinese selenium powder 99.5%min would remain at the current level in the upcoming week supported by firm crude selenium prices.
A trader in Hunan disclosed that they consider selling selenium powder 99.5%min at the price as low as RMB175/kg (USD10.97/lb) delivered D/P, in line with one week ago. "We just sold around 5t at RMB175/kg (USD10.97/lb) delivered D/P yesterday and the client purchase another 5t at the same price today", said the trader. They intend to firm prices supported by steady raw material prices and predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese selenium powder 99.5%min would remain stable in the following days.
The trader, with a regular monthly trading volume of 15t of selenium powder 99.5%min, expects to sell around 15t this month and sold almost 15t last month. They hold around 15t of stock now, down by 10t from late last month.
A consumer in Guangdong mentioned that their regular suppliers offered RMB190/kg (USD11.91/lb) delivered D/P for selenium powder 99.5%min and could accept the price as low as RMB185/kg (USD11.60/lb) at present, in line with one week ago. They last purchased around 1t at RMB185/kg (USD11.60/lb) last week. "We believe that the prevailing prices of Chinese selenium powder 99.5%min would remain stable in the coming days as most suppliers have no intention to lower prices", said the consumer.
