Zhongde Environmental delays bismuth ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 15 Apr 24 - Zhongde Environmental Protection Technology Co., one of major bismuth ingot 99.99%min producers in Chenzhou, China, delays the resumption of bismuth ingot 99.99%min production till June, a source from the company disclosed to Asian Metal.
The source said, "We delayed the resumption of bismuth ingot 99.99%min production till June, which originally scheduled to begin after the Spring Festival". They expect to produce no less than 100t of bismuth ingot 99.99%min in June.
The producer, based on a production capacity of 6,000tpy of bismuth ingot 99.99%min, holds more than 100t of crude bismuth now. They halted the production since early 2022.
Currently, Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min mainstream prices hover at RMB56,500-57,500/t (USD3.54-3.60/lb) EXW D/P, in line with early this week. Given that most suppliers intended to hold the prices firm supported by limited stocks while consumers hold back from purchasing, insiders predicted that the mainstream prices of Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min would remain unmoved in the upcoming week.
