Construction kicks off for three lithium battery materials projects in Yulin

On April 7, a number of major projects kicked off construction at Longtan Industrial Park in Yulin, Guangxi, including the 50,000tpa iron phosphate recycling project, the 8,000tpa high-purity cobalt metal project and the 50,000tpa lithium battery electrolyte project, with a total investment of RMB136 million (USD18.79 million), RMB180 million (USD24.88 million) and RMB300 million (USD41.46 million) respectively.
On the same day, construction completed for a waste lithium battery recycling project with capacity of 30,000 tonnes per annum. With a total investment of RMB222 million (USD30.68 million), the battery recycling project is expected to achieve an annual industrial production value of RMB400 million (USD55.28 million).
