BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 24 - Driven by increasing prices of antimony trioxide 99.8%min in China, most suppliers raise their prices slightly this week. Currently, the mainstream import prices of antimony trioxide 99.8%min in India stand at USD11,000-11,300/t CIF Nhavasheva, up by USD100/t from last week. Considering that most exporters intend to keep their prices firm, insiders predict that the mainstream import prices of antimony trioxide 99.8%min would keep firm in the coming week.
An importer in India indicated that they didn't import antimony trioxide 99.8%min this week but prices of antimony trioxide 99.8%min they received this week increased to USD11,300/t CIF Nhavasheva and some suppliers could accept to sell at USD11,200/t. The importer added, "We last imported about 20t at USD11,100/t CIF Nhavasheva last week. Most suppliers prefer to keep their prices firm since early this week. But we prefer to watch the market as the demand in India stay soft". Considering that most suppliers prefer to keep their prices firm due to tight supply, insiders predict that the mainstream import prices of antimony trioxide 99.8%min would keep firm in the coming week.
The importer, with a regular monthly import volume of around 60t of antimony trioxide, predicts not to import this month and locked about 40t last month. They hold about 20t of stock in hand now, unchanged from late last month. They imported about 400t of the material in 2023.
Another importer in India disclosed, "We last imported about 40t of antimony trioxide 99.8%min at USD11,000/t CIF Nhavasheva one week ago and we didn't purchase this week. Prices increase slightly as the most competitive price we received this week stand at USD11,200/t". The importer added that the demand India didn't pick up as most consumers just purchase in small volume due to uncertation market.
