BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 24 - Given the sluggish market and low profit, Chinese ammonium metavanadate 99%min market prices see a stable trend this week. The current mainstream prices stand at RMB73,000-75,000/t (USD10,088-10,365/t) EXW D/P, without much change from Monday. Insiders forecast that the price would stay at this level in the following days.
A producer in Shandong disclosed that they quote ammonium metavanadate 99%min at RMB75,000/t (USD10,365/t) EXW D/P and refuse to sell below RMB74,000/t (USD10,365/t) EXW D/P. They sold around 80t to their regular customer at RMB74,000/t (USD10,365/t) EXW D/P yesterday. "Our quotation for regular contract stabilizes at RMB74,000/t (USD10,365/t) EXW D/P these days, however we have no intention to sell below RMB75,000/t (USD10,365/t) EXW D/P to consumers who want to purchase small volume of orders." The producer thinks the market would remain smooth in the upcoming week.
Based on an annual production capacity of 8,000t, the producer estimates to produce 600t in April. He produced around 700t last month and 5,000t last year. He holds around 200t inventory now.
Another producer in Fujian illustrated that their offer for ammonium metavanadate 99%min stands at RMB75,000/t (USD10,365/t) EXW D/P and have intention to sell at RMB74,000/t (USD10,365/t) EXW D/P for big volume orders. "We last sold about 60t at RMB74,000/t (USD10,365/t) EXW D/P on Monday and we refuse to sell below RMB74,000/t (USD10,365/t) EXW D/P so far," mentioned the producer, who believes the price would remain at current level in the week to come.
With an annual production capacity of 2,500t, the producer plans to produce around 180t this month. He produced around 150t in March and 2,000t last year. He has no stock now.
