Tailong Zinc to cut zinc hypoxide production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Apr 24 - Anhui Tailong Zinc Industry Co., a major zinc hypoxide producer in China, would decrease the output of zinc hypoxide to about 1,000t in April.
"We would cut the output of zinc hypoxide 45%min to about 1,000t in April, down by about 1,000t from March", a source from the company discloses. They attribute decreased output to tight supply of raw materials and thin profits.
On basis of a production capacity of 24,000tpy of zinc hypoxide, the company would produce about 1,000t in April, down by about 1,000t from last month. They hold about 2,000t of inventories presently.
The current mainstream coefficient of zinc hypoxide 45%min Cl 10%max stand at 58-60% EXW D/P, stable from early last week. Most suppliers keep firm coefficient of zinc hypoxide supported by high costs and tight supply. Insiders predict that mainstream coefficient of zinc hypoxide would keep firm in the week to come.
