A producer in Shandong now quotes RMB13,000/t (USD1,805/t) EXW D/A 180 days for expansible graphite 99 80 250 and refuses to sell at any price lower than RMB12,600/t (USD1,750/t) in the past two weeks. "We sold about 100t yesterday at RMB12,700/t (USD1,763/t), compared to about 120t at RMB12,600/t (USD1,763/t) late last month," the producer disclosed, adding that they plan to hold the prices stable for flat sales as most of their clients show firm refusals to higher prices . They predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese expansible graphite would remain unchanged in the coming week.
Based on a production capacity of 25,000tpy, they produced about 14,000t in 2023 and expect a similar output this year. They plan to produce 1,000t in April, in line with March . Now they have about 100t in stock, unchanged from late March.
