BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Apr 24 - Most suppliers of tin concentrate increased their TCs as many of them satisfied with current prices of tin ingot. The current mainstream TCs of Chinese tin concentrate 60%min increased from RMB14,000-15,000/metal ton (USD1,935-2,073/metal ton) delivered D/P late last week to around RMB14,500-15,500/metal ton (USD2,005-2,143/metal ton) this week
A trader in Guizhou disclosed, "We quote TC for tin concentrate 40%min at about RMB15,500/metal ton (USD2,143/metal ton) delivered D/P since early this week, up by around RMB500/metal ton (USD69.1/metal ton) from late last week . " They close no deal today due to no inquiry. While they last sold around 30 metal tons at TC of RMB15,000/metal ton (USD2,073/metal ton) last Friday . As the prices of tin ingot went up sharply during the past two days, they increase the TC in order to give downstream clients more profit margin . However, they have no intention to increase their TC within this week due to tight supply and estimate that the mainstream prices of Chinese tin concentrate TCs would keep stable in the forthcoming days.
Based on a typical monthly sales volume of nearly 2,000 metal tons, they expect to sell about 1,500 metal tons this month, unchanged from last month. They hold about 1,000 metal tons of inventories now.
"We could consider accepting the TC as high as RMB15,000/metal ton (USD2,073/metal ton) delivered D/P for tin concentrate 40%min and sell around 15 metal tons today," another trader in Yunnan reported. While they last sold about 20 metal tons on last Thursday when they offered TC at about RMB14,500/metal ton (USD20,048/metal ton) . Although the prices of tin ingot would probably go up further, they don't have plan to change their TCs again recently due to limited raw materials . So, they forecast that the mainstream prices of Chinese tin concentrate TCs might keep stable in the coming week.
With a regular monthly sales volume of nearly 100 metal tons, they estimate to sell about 100 metal tons this month, identical to last month, holding around 100 metal tons of stocks presently.
