BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Apr 24 - Considering that most factories haven't started their production which cause the tight supply on spot market. Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min stand at RMB91,500-92,500/t (USD12,652-12,790/t) EXW D/P, up by RMB1,000/t (USD138.3/t) from early this week. Considering that supply keep tight and most suppliers hold back from selling now, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep firm in the coming week.
A producer in Hunan indicated, "We don't offer for antimony ingot 99.85%min actively now as we have no stocks to sell, the latest date of shipment we could arrange is until end of April. While even for firm bids, we have no intentions to sell at prices lower than RMB92,000/t (USD12,721/t) now". The producer added that they last sold about 32t of antimony ingot 99.85%min at RMB91,500/t (USD12,652/t) last week. The producer added they receive many inquiries from their clients who want to refill their stocks at around RMB92,000/t(USD12,721/t), while they can't offer due to limited supply. They predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep firm in the coming week.
On basis of an annual production capacity of 5,000t of antimony ingot 99.85%min, the producer produced about 4,500t in 2023. They expect to produce about 400t this month and last produced about 450t last month. They hold no stock at the moment, the same with last month.
Another producer in Guangxi disclosed that they offer about RMB92,500/t (USD12,790/t) EXW D/P for antimony ingot 99.85%min and refuse to sell at lower prices. They last sold about 30t at RMB92,000/t (USD12,721/t) to a regular client. The producer added, "Supply of raw materials keep tight and some suppliers of antimony concentrate 50%min even raise their prices to RMB80,000/t (USD11,062/t) delivered D/P now". They keep their stocks of antimony ingot at below 100t now and many clients want to purchase. As supply keep tight and cost of raw materials keep firm, the producer predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep firm in the forthcoming week.
