BEIJING (Asian Metal) 9 Apr 24 - As prices of APT88.5%min keep increasing, most suppliers of tungsten carbide powder raised their prices while there show limited orders this week. Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese tungsten carbide powder 99.8%min 2.5-7.0μm stand at RMB279-282/kg (USD38.6-38.9/kg) delivered D/A 180 days, up by RMB2/kg (USD0.28/kg) from late last week. Considering that cost of raw material keep increasing now, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese tungsten carbide powder 99.8%min 2.5-7.0μm would increase slightly in the coming week.
A producer in Jiangxi disclosed, "We offer about RMB283/kg (USD39.1/kg) delivered D/A 180 days and could accept to sell at RMB281/kg (USD38.8/kg) for firm bids. We last sold about 5t at RMB282/kg (USD38.9/kg) early this week and last sold about 8t at RMB279/kg (USD38.6/kg) last week". The producer added that they raise their prices this week as prices of APT88.5%min increase slightly. Most suppliers of APT88.5%min raise their prices to RMB192,000/t (USD26,542/kg) this week and they last sold about 30t at RMBA189,000/t (USD26,128/kg) last week. As prices of raw materials keep increasing, the producer predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese tungsten carbide powder 99.8%min 2.5-7.0μm would increase slightly in the forthcoming week.
With an annual production capacity of 8,000t of tungsten powder and tungsten carbide powder, they produced about 3,200t in total last year and expect to produce about 400t in March. They hold no stock in hand now, the same as a month ago.
Another consumer in Jiangxi mentioned, "We don't purchase any tungsten carbide powder 99.8%min 2.5-7.0μm this week and most suppliers of tungsten carbide powder 99.8%min 2.5-7.0μm raise their prices to RMB283/kg (USD39.1/kg) delivered D/A 180 days now and some suppliers could accept to sell at RMB280/kg (USD38.7/kg) now". The consumer added that they last purchased about 10t at RMB275/kg (USD38.1/kg) late of last March. Most suppliers prefer to keep their prices firm due to limited supply, the consumer predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese tungsten carbide powder 99.8%min 2.5-7.0μm would keep stable in the coming week.
