Linzhou Lingang to expand iron production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 4 Apr 24 - Linzhou Lingang Cast Pipe Technology Co. (Linzhou Lingang), a major iron producer in Henan, would increase the production to about 60,000t in April, reveled a source of the company.
"We restarted the production early last month and just produced about 55,000t of iron in March. The planned output for this month would rise to around 60,000t," explained the source, who also told that they still have no stock at present, unchanged from last month.
With an annual production capacity of about 750,000t of iron, the company witnessed an output of around 450,000t last year and produced about 55,000t in Q1 of this year.
The present mainstream prices of S.G. cast iron Q10 hover at about RMB3,100-3,150/t (USD428-435/t) Inc-VAT EXW D/P in Anyang, down by RMB100/t (USD14/t) compared with those of last week. Insiders predict that Chinese S.G. cast iron prices would drop further in the coming week on soft demand and decreased raw material prices.
