Liaoyang Dexin Casting to reduce S.G. cast iron production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 3 Apr 24 - Liaoyang Dexin Casting Co. (Liaoyang Dexin Casting), one of the major S.G. cast iron producers in Liaoning, would decrease the output to around 21,000t in April, said a source of the company.
"We would cut the production of S.G. cast iron from about 24,000t in March to around 21,000t this month due to decreased orders," revealed the source, adding that customers place orders sparingly at the moment due to the continuous price decrease these days. According to him, they don't have spot materials in hand now, unchanged from last month.
With an annual production capacity of about 300,000t, the company produced around 230,000t of S.G. cast iron last year and about 67,000t in Q1 of this year.
The mainstream prices of S.G. cast iron Q10 stand at around RMB3,150-3,200/t (USD435-442/t) EXW D/P in Liaoyang at present, down by RMB100/t (USD14/t) compared with those of last week. Insiders expect Chinese S.G. cast iron prices to drop further in the coming week on weak demand decreased raw material prices.
