Chinese cadmium ingot prices steady

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Apr 24 - Chinese cadmium ingot 99.99%min market ran smoothly and mos suppliers held prices steady over the past week. Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese cadmium ingot 99.99%min firm at RMB32,300-32,800/t (USD2.02-2.05/lb) EXW D/P, in line with one week ago. Market participants forecasted that the prevailing prices of Chinese cadmium ingot 99.99%min would show a stable trend in the upcoming days given that the downstream held wait-and-see attitudes.
A producer in South China disclosed that they refused to accept the price for cadmium ingot 99.99%min lower than RMB32,800/t (USD2.06/lb) EXW D/P presently, without much change from one week ago. They last sold 33t at RMB32,300/t (USD2.02/lb) two weeks ago. "Given that we had no stocks for selling till two weeks later, we had no intention to lower our prices", said the producer. They forecasted that the mainstream prices of Chinese cadmium ingot 99.99%min would witness a stable trend in the forthcoming week as the downstream stayed in no hurry to place orders with watchful attitudes.
The producer, having a production capacity of 1,800tpy of cadmium ingot 99.99%min, produced about 66 in March and estimated the same output in April. They hold no stocks now, unchanged from the end of last month. They produced around 200t so fat in 2024 and about 520t in 2023.
Another producer in North China disclosed that they had no intention to sell cadmium ingot 99.99%min at any price lower than RMB33,100/t (USD2.08/lb) EXW D/P presently, without much change from early last week. They last sold around 27t at RMB33,100/t (USD2.08/lb) early last week. "We would not have enough stocks for selling till late May while most clients just inquired with watchful attitudes", said the producer. They forecasted that the mainstream prices of Chinese cadmium ingot 99.99%min would stay unmoved in the forthcoming week.
