BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Mar 24 – Most sellers in Europe kept prices of HC ferrochrome stable in the past two weeks. The current mainstream prices of HC ferrochrome Cr60%min stand at USD1.28-1.35/lb Cr in Europe, stable from early last week. Given that most sellers have no intention to adjust prices, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of HC ferrochrome in Europe would keep stable in the coming week.
A trader in Poland noted that they kept price of HC ferrochrome Cr60%min stable at USD1.28/lb Cr in Rotterdam warehouse in the past two weeks as the market kept so quite. "We did not even receive any inquiry this week, while we received an inquiry of 30t but failed to close deals last week", said the trader, who complained. They predict that the mainstream prices of HC ferrochrome in Europe would keep stable in the coming week.
The trader, with a regular monthly sales volume about 300t of HC ferrochrome, predicts to sell about 100t in March, almost stable from last month.
Another trader in German noted that they quoted USD1.40/lb Cr in German for HC ferrochrome Cr60%min today, while they would like to sell at USD1.35/lb Cr for firm bids, stable from early last week. "We sold about 20t at USD1.35/lb Cr early this week and sold about 10t at the same price late last week", said the trader, who anticipates that the mainstream prices of HC ferrochrome in Europe would keep stable in the coming week considering the stable demand.
