UNR Mining to cut zinc and lead ore production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Mar 24 - UNR Minig Ltd., a major zinc and lead ore producer in Nigeria, would decrease the output of zinc and lead ore to about 500t each in March.
"Our output of zinc ore 35%min and lead ore 40%min would decrease from 1,000t each in February to about 500t each in March", a source from the company disclosed and explained that they attributed the decreased output to Ramanda.
The company, would increase the output of zinc and lead ore to about 1,000t each in March and to about 3,000t each a few months later. They would like to sell to China.
The current mainstream TCs for import zinc concentrate 50%min and lead concentrate 60%min stand at USD80-90/dt CIF China and USD30-40/dt CIF China respectively, both stable from late last month. Most sellers from overseas insist on low level TCs of zinc and lead concentrate supported by tight supply, most buyers in China hold back from purchasing. Thus, insiders predict that the mainstream TCs for import zinc and lead concentrate would keep stable in the week to come.
