BEIJING (Asian Metal) 20 Mar 24 - Due to prices increasing of raw materials, most suppliers of tungsten grinding swarf scrap raise prices accordingly
A trader in Hunan indicated that most suppliers of tungsten grinding swarf scrap raised their prices to RMB1.77/kg (USD0.25/kg) WO3 EX-VAT now and could accept to sell at RMB1.76/kg (USD0.24/kg) for firm bids . They didn't purchase as they didn't receive any inquiries from downstream market . They last purchased 20t at RMB1.75/kg (USD0.24/kg) one week ago . The trader added, "As prices of tungsten concentrate increased within ths week, most suppliers prefer to increase their prices accordingly, but we had no intentions to purchase at such high prices level" . Considering that demand kept soft, the trader predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese tungsten grinding swarf scrap would be firm in the coming week.
With a regular monthly trade volume of 30t of tungsten grinding swarf scrap, the trader expects to sell roughly 20t this month, unchanged MOM. They sold nearly 300t last year , holding inventory of around 10t now, unchanged from last month.
Another consumer in Hunan disclosed that prices of tungsten grinding swarf scrap they received this week increased slightly to RMB1.75/kg (USD0.24/kg) WO3 EX-VAT and some suppliers could accept to sell at RMB1.74/kg(USD0.232/kg), while they had no intentions to purchase at current high prices level .
