Fengren Graphite resumed expansible graphite production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 20 Mar 24 - Qingdao Fengren Graphite Technology Co., a expansible graphite producer with an annual production capacity of 7000tpy, resumed production early this month, expecting an output of about 200t in March.
"We resumed production early this month after a suspension of about 3 months due to the low temperature," a source from the company revealed, adding that their plant locates in Jilin. They expect to produce about 200t in March and plan to produce about 240t in April.
With an annual production capacity of 7,000t, they recorded an output of about 2,200t in 2023 and predict a similar output this year. Holding no stock now.
The current mainstream prices of Chinese expansible graphite 99 80 250 stand at RMB12,200-12,700/t (USD1,706-1,776/t) EXW D/A 180 days, up by about RMB400/t (USD56/t) from a week ago. Considering the short supply of large flake graphite, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese expansible graphite would rise further in the coming week.
