Linzhou Hexin Casting to expand S.G. cast iron production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 19 Mar 24 - Linzhou Hexin Casting Co. (Linzhou Hexin Casting), a major S.G. cast iron producer in Henan, would expand the production to about 49,000t in March.
"We resumed the production on February 22nd after the suspension last October and just produced about 12,000t of S.G. cast iron in February," said a source of the company, adding that the planned output for this month would reach around 49,000t. Besides, they have a stockpile of about 6,000t in hand now against zero stock last month.
With an annual production capacity of about 600,000t of S.G. cast iron, Linzhou Hexin Casting witnessed an output of around 350,000t last year and produced about 12,000t in Jan-Feb of 2024.
The present mainstream prices of S.G. cast iron Q10 hover at about RMB3,300-3,350/t (USD458-465/t) Inc-VAT EXW D/P in Anyang, down by RMB50/t (USD7/t) from last week. Insiders predict that Chinese S.G. cast iron prices would move down further in the coming week on weak demand and decreased raw material prices.
