Asia Pacific Electrode to resume zinc ore production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 15 Mar 24 - Asia Pacific Electrode Technology Inc., who has a mine site of zinc ore in South America, would resume production in April.
"We would resume production of zinc ore 20%min Pb8%min early in April, we suspended production in October 2023 due to rainy season", a source from the company noted, adding that they would produce about 100t in April.
The company, with an annual production capacity of 1,000t of zinc ore, mainly sells zinc ore to China.
The current mainstream TCs for import zinc concentrate 50%min stand at USD80-90/dt CIF China, stable from early in March. Most importers hold watchful attitudes at the moment. Insiders predict that the mainstream TCs for import zinc concentrate would keep stable in the coming week.
