Shaoguan Shengfa resumes crude indium production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 6 Mar 24 - One of major crude indium 99%min producers in South China, Shaoguan Shengfa Nonferrous Metals Co. planned resumed crude indium 99%min production the production mid last month, a source from the company disclosed.
The source said, "We halted the crude indium 99%min production early last month for Spring Festival and resumed the production mid February". They produced about 0.5t in February, down by 0.5t from January.
The producer, based on a production capacity of 60tpy of crude indium 99%min, holds around 1t of stock now, unchanged MoM. They produced about 1t totally in 2022 and around 4t in 2023.
Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese crude indium 99%min moved up to RMB1,850-1,900/kg (USD257.15-264.10/kg) EXW D/P, up by RMB40/kg (USD5.56/kg) from late last week. Insiders forecast that the mainstream prices of Chinese crude indium 99%min would increase in the upcoming week with higher prices of indium ingot 99.995%min.
