BEIJING (Asian Metal) 1 Mar 24 - Shedda Nigeria Limited., a major zinc ore producer in Nigeria, increased the output of zinc ore to about 1,000t in February.
"We increased the output of zinc concentrate 50% from about 450t in January to about 1,000t in February", a source from the company disclosed and explained that They can't produce normally in January due to carbon regulation.
The company, with an annual production capacity of 12,000t of zinc concentrate, produced about 1,000t in February, up b about 550 from January. They hold no stocks at the moment.
The current mainstream TCs for Chinese import zinc concentrate50%min stand at USD80-90/dt CIF China, stable from early in February. Most importers hold watchful attitudes due to low level of TCs, insiders predict that the mainstream TCs for Chinese import zinc concentrate would edge up in the coming week.
