Yunnan Jinzhou breaks ground on 130ktpa aluminum materials project

On January 30, Yunnan Jinzhou International New Materials Co., Ltd. kicked off construction of its green aluminum materials project with a production capacity of 130,000 tonnes per annum.
With a total investment of RMB500 million (USD69.62 million), the project is located at Funing Industrial Park in Yunnan and has a total land area of about 58Mu (3.86 hectares). The first phase of the project will build a production line for aluminum alloy round ingot and slab ingot, with a total production capacity of 130,000tpa, including 30,000tpa of secondary aluminum. The phase one is expected to finish construction and become operational before October 2024 and reach full capacity by October 2025. The company plans to launch the second phase, which includes aluminum profile extrusion line and associated facilities, from October 2026 to October 2027 and expects it to become fully operational by October 2028. The phase two will mainly produce aluminum profiles used for golf club, surfboard, new energy vehicle and marine sheets. At full capacity, the project is expected to achieve an annual production value of more than RMB2.5 billion (USD348 million), along with annual tax revenue of over RMB50 million (USD696 million).
