Lubei Chemical to set up joint venture for Zr-Ti ore processing project

Shandong Lubei Chemical Co., Ltd. announced a joint venture with Shanghai Taibao Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. and Hainan Xinfu Supply Chain Co., Ltd. for a zirconium-titanium ore concentration project with a processing capacity of 600,000 tonnes per annum.
Lubei Chemical plans to invest RMB16.50 million (USD2.29 million) to get a 55% stake in Shandong Lubei Zirconium Titanium New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., the planned joint venture, with RMB7.5 million (USD1,042,342) from Shanghai Taibao and RMB6 million (USD833,874) from Hainan Xinfu, which will get a 25% and 20% stake respectively.
The joint venture will build a deep-processing base for titanium concentrate, rutile, monazite and zircon sand, with a designed annual processing capacity of 600,000 tonnes. It will be in charge of the processing and sales of titanium concentrate, rutile and zircon sand.
