Yunnan Yuntong Zinc shuts down zinc production equipment in Wangjiaqiao

Yunnan Yuntong Zinc Co., Ltd. plans to build a 150ktpa zinc ingot production project at Anning Industrial Park in Kunming in accordance with China's policy of relocating projects to industrial parks.
The relocation project broke ground on December 18, 2023 and is scheduled to orderly shut down old production equipment in Wangjiaqiao area from December 30. Construction of the project is expected to take 24 months.
With a total investment of RMB2.12 billion (USD296 million), the relocation project has an annual production capacity of 150,000t of zinc ingot and 240,000t of industrial grade sulfuric acid, and is also able to recycle valuable metals such as lead, copper, silver, indium and cobalt.
