Fugu Jan-Oct magnesium production down by 21.4% YoY

China's Fugu county saw a total production value from industrial enterprises above designated size of RMB101.55 billion (USD14.17 billion) in the first ten months of 2023, down by 14.6% from the year-ago period, with the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size up by 7.2%, according to the local statistics bureau.
From January to October, Fugu produced 79.33 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 3.2% YoY, 11.17 million tonnes of washed coal, up by 3.1% YoY, 7.40 million tonnes of semi-coke, down by 22.2% YoY, 313,500 tonnes of calcium carbide, down by 59.1% YoY, 557,000 tonnes of ferroalloys, down by 24% YoY, 308,400 tonnes of magnesium metal, down by 21.4% YoY, and 291,800 tonnes of light coal tar, down by 37.4% YoY.
