Hongchang Copper to build 98ktpa copper rod and ingot project

The environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the 98,000tpa copper rod and ingot project developed by Anhui Hongchang Copper Co., Ltd. has been given the initial approval by the local environmental protection authority.
According to the EIA, the company plans to build the project in Suixi economic development zone, Huaibei, Anhui. Construction includes a copper rod and ingot production line and associated facilities. When completed, the project is able to produce 98,000t of copper rod and ingot annually. Total investment for the project is RMB150 million (USD21.05 million), including RMB1.5 million (USD210,483) for environmental protection.
