In October 2023, China produced 69.19 million tonnes of pig iron, down by 2.8% YoY, 79.09 million tonnes of crude steel, down by 1.8% YoY, and 113.71 million tonnes of steel products, up by 3.0% YoY, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first ten months, China's production of pig iron, crude steel and steel products totaled 744.75 million tonnes, 874.70 million tonnes and 1,144.18 million tonnes respectively, up by 2.3%, 1.4% and 5.7% from the prior year period.
