China's steel products output up by 6.1% YoY in first three quarters

In September 2023, China produced 71.54 million tonnes of pig iron, down by 3.3% YoY, 82.11 million tonnes of crude steel, down by 5.6% YoY, and 117.82 million tonnes of steel products, up by 5.5% YoY, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first three quarters, the production of pig iron, crude steel and steel products totaled 675.16 million tonnes, 795.07 million tonnes and 1,028.87 million tonnes respectively, up by 2.8%, 1.7% and 6.1% from the prior year period.
