Huayou Cobalt partners with LG Chem to develop lithium battery materials projects

Huayou Cobalt and LG Chem entered into an agreement on September 22 to establish strategic cooperation on the industrial chain of precursor and cathode materials for lithium battery by setting up a precursor plant with capacity of 50,000tpa and a HPAL plant with capacity of 60,000tpa of nickel metal equivalent in Indonesia as well as a 52,000tpa lithium salt processing plant in Morocco.
