Henan Jinhui Industry Group breaks ground on stainless steel projects

On September 6, Henan Jinhui Industry Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for Henan stainless steel high-quality products industrial park and other six industrial chain projects.
With a total investment of RMB12 billion (USD1.63 billion), Henan stainless steel high-quality products industrial park has a planned land area of 1,500Mu (100 hectares) and will be home to 2Mtpa steel scrap short process steelmaking plant, 1780 secondary stainless steel hot rolling production line, full automatic wide plate five-stand continuous rolling production line, high-precision stainless steel 20-HI finish rolling production line, high-quality deep-processing workshop, numerical control center and associated facilities. The project would take five years to complete and is expected to create 2,000-3,000 jobs and generate annual production value of RMB50 billion (USD6.81 billion), along with tax revenue of more than RMB2 billion (USD272 million).
The other six projects that broke ground include Jinhui Weide's 200ktpa 1450mm high-quality cold-rolled stainless steel project and Henan Dingda's 100ktpa stainless steel pipe and construction materials project. These projects would further expand the advanced iron and steel materials industry in Xuchang to facilitate the construction of modern industrial clusters.
