East Hope's 400ktpa silicon metal project in Gansu begins trial production

On August 25, Lanzhou Dongjin Silicon Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of East Hope Group, commenced trial production at its 400,000tpa silicon metal project in Gansu.
Located in Lanzhou New Area and covering a land area of around 2,000Mu (133 hectares), the project is one of the largest silicon metal projects in China. Phase one of the project will add production capacity of 400,000tpa of high purity silicon metal and phase two will build production capacity of 400,000tpa of organosilicon compound. The project began construction in October 2022, and when in full operation, it is expected to generate annual tax revenue of more than RMB1 billion (USD137 million) and create 2,500 jobs.
