World's largest diameter ductile cast iron pipe produced in Huangshi, China

On August 24, a 3-meter-diameter ductile cast iron pipe weighing 15 tonnes was produced at Huangshi Xinxing Pipes Co., Ltd. in Hubei, China and it is the world's largest diameter ductile cast iron pipe ever produced.
Large diameter iron pipes are mainly used in major water engineering and urban infrastructure projects. China is the only country in the world capable of producing ductile cast iron pipe with diameter of more than 2.6 meters. In 2022, China produced about 6.56 million tonnes of ductile cast iron pipe, accounting for nearly 60% of the global production of 11 million tonnes.
