Quzhou Yuanli to build 3.54Mtpa iron and steel capacity

Quzhou Yuanli Metal Products Co., Ltd. adjusted its 3.45Mtpa high-quality special steel capacity replacement scheme and the latest replacement scheme has been made public by Zhejiang Department of Economy and Information Technology.
According to the latest scheme, Quzhou Yuanli plans to build two new 1280m3 blast furnaces and upgrade one existing 1080m3 blast furnace to 1280m3 for a total iron-making capacity of 3.54 million tons per annum (Mtpa). The company also plans to build three 100-ton rotary furnaces, four LF furnaces and two RH furnaces for a total special steel production capacity of 3.45Mtpa. The company expects to build these proposed furnaces in 2024 and put them into operation in 2026.
