Yunhai Special Metals to set up joint venture for 300ktpa ferrosilicon project

Yunhai Special Metals has signed an investment agreement with Dragon Northwest Iron Resources Holding Group to inject capital into their joint venture Gansu Xitie Yongtong Alloy New Material Co., Ltd. for the construction and operation of the 300,000tpa high-quality ferrosilicon project, including eight 40500KVA electric furnaces.
With total investment estimated at RMB1.74 billion (USD239 million), the project is located at Lianhai Economic Development Zone in Yongdeng, Gansu and is expected to achieve average annual sales of RMB2.1 billion (USD288 million) when reaching full capacity.
